What is Light Gauge Steel Frame and how does it work?
Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) consists of cold formed Lightweight galvanized steel structures, instead of concrete, enabling the construction of the safest, fastest and unlimited design buildings.
Steel coils, the basis material, is transformed into final galvanized studs used for framing. These studs are zinc coated (galvanized) to prevent oxidation and corrosion. The steel is assembled in the factory to make panels, trusses and delivered on site for erection.

Design Steel framing provides excellent design flexibility due to the inherent strength of steel, which allows a longer span than wood and also resist wind and earthquake loads. See the BUILDING TYPES.
Structure There are structural wall frames and roof trusses, manufactured from cold formed light galvanized steel sections. There physical and mechanical characteristics meet the standards specified in the following:
ASTM A653 type 33, 37, 40 and 50 (class 1 and 3)
ASTM A792 type 33, 37, 40 and 50A
ASTM A875 type 33, 37, 40 and 50 (class 1 and 3)

Cladding Walls can be filled with a concrete mix which we call the “solid Wall” services – electricity and plumbing – are installed in the wall cavity created on light steel studs, as it happens with the insulation material. Gypsum board fixed to the light steel frame, is typically used for internal wall cladding and ceilings. Exterior cladding consist of a single skin wall or fiber cement boards, fixed to the wall frames which can be cladded with anything from slate to sandstone, from marble to tiles or painting. All type materials can be applied over LGSF.
Energy efficiency The performance of light steel on buildings has proven by its sustainability, environmental friendly and thermal barrier insulating. Additionally, steel framing results in less air loss around windows and doors as well as foundation and roofing connections, this means that you spend less energy to heat or cool the house.
Recycling The use of Light Steel framing avoids direct deforestation in the manufacturing process. Steel is lightweight, cost effective, recycled and recyclable into new steel to be used for any variety of new products.
Engineering Design, engineering and production techniques ensure that your property is secure and efficient. Our team of experts is composed of structural engineers, designers and quality technicians. We supervise all the production work and assemble all the structures to make sure that the whole process is well integrated. Finally, we assure that steel structures and frames reach the desired destination on time.
MEP Installation Light Gauge Steel Structure is prepared in factory with openings in place (as per project) for the easy assemble of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installation. After settle structure and MEP, internal and external walls are ready to receive cladding and finishing.
Fire resistance Steel Framed residential houses would never burn or turn the expansion of fire possible. Insullation and Cladding materials such as Rockwool and Gypsum board can give up to 120 minutes fire resistance. Family and loved ones get enough time to escape from this natural disaster and to save remaining structure.
Termite resistance 100% termite proof. Steel is an impervious material which termites and wood insets cannot eat or chew. Structural damages can be avoided by using steel structures.
